Barker's Newsbites: Thursday, November 5, 2015

Damn it's hot out there! (For November 5th in New York State!)

Gotta be in the 60's - and humid. (Hell... last night I actually put the AC on for awhile to cool the place down!)

Anyway... welcome to today's Newsbites! As always... you'll find the actual Newsbites posted within the Comments Section of this post.

Have a great day!

You might think this would be great news for all those scientists who have been warning us over the last few years about the impending horrors of “man-made global warming” but in fact they are not happy about it, not one bit.

Here for example is Dr Jay Zwally, the lead author of this week’s surprising NASA study that confirms that the Antarctic is gaining far more ice than it is losing.

“I know some of the climate deniers will jump on this and say this means we don’t have to worry as much as some people have been making out. It should not take away from the concern about climate warming.”

Does that sound to you like a neutral scientific opinion? Do you sense any relief at the good news that the climate apocalypse of melting ice caps and rising sea levels may not be quite so imminent after all?

No, me neither.

* OBAMA'S BUDDIES...

(*JUST SHAKING MY HEAD*)

Iran’s powerful Revolutionary Guard military force hacked email and social-media accounts of Obama administration officials in recent weeks in attacks believed to be tied to the arrest in Tehran of an Iranian-American businessman, U.S. officials said.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC, has routinely conducted cyber-warfare against American government agencies for years. But the U.S. officials said there has been a surge in such attacks coinciding with the arrest last month of Siamak Namazi, an energy industry executive and business consultant who has pushed for stronger U.S.-Iranian economic and diplomatic ties.

* JUST... Er... OUT OF CURIOSITY...

(*PAUSING*0

* WHY ARE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION OFFICIALS "HACKABLE?"
