Folks... read THIS... and then ask yourselves...
WHERE'S TED CRUZ'S NAME? WHERE'S RAND PAUL'S? WHERE'S
MARCO RUBIO'S? WHERE'S LINDSEY GRAHAM'S?
Aren't the four men mentioned above ALSO United States
Senators...???
I've gotta say... Trump is looking better and better to
me every day...
(*PURSED LIPS*)
And now... the story:
* * *
Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) is pressing GOP lawmakers to
take a tougher and more restrictive stance on immigration as Republicans
prepared for their annual retreat later this week to lay out their policy
agenda.
In a Dear Colleague letter, Sessions and Rep. Dave Brat
(R-Va.) take a distinctly populist tone on immigration, calling it the “one
policy that most separates the views of the GOP’s voters from the party’s
biggest donors.”
* I'D CALL IT A DISTINCTLY FACT-BASED, COMMON-SENSE
"TONE" ON IMMIGRATION... BUT, HEY... MAYBE THAT'S JUST ME...
(*SMIRK*)
* FRIGGIN' SCUMBAGS AT POLITICO...
(*SPITTING ON THE GROUND*)
Framing the issue in economic and national security
terms, the two conservative Republicans urged their colleagues to pursue
legislation this year to tighten up various immigration laws — an unlikely
prospect on the Hill this year but a view that is gaining traction in the
Republican presidential primary.
“If we want to lay out a ‘bold, conservative agenda’ and
demonstrate that we serve the voters — and not the special interests — we
should begin by advancing bills to reduce out-of-control immigration,” Sessions
and Brat wrote, in a not-so-subtle reference to the title of Speaker Paul
Ryan’s policy agenda.
* SPEAKER RYAN IS A BACK-STABBING, LYING RINO; PERIOD. I
TOLD YOU PEOPLE! I WARNED YOU!
Sessions’ hardline views...
* AGAIN... I'D TERM THEM "RATIONAL VIEWS."
(*SMIRK*)
...on immigration have had a particularly deep influence
in the 2016 GOP primary. He advised Donald Trump as the billionaire GOP
frontrunner drafted his own immigration proposal, and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas)
has aggressively aligned himself with Sessions and his immigration policies on
the campaign trail. Both candidates are in the top tier in the Republican
field.
* AGAIN... WHY ISN'T CRUZ'S NAME... SENATOR CRUZ'S NAME -
AND SIGNATURE - ON THE "DEAR COLLEAGUE" LETTER? (WELL...?!?!)
In their letter, the lawmakers noted that polling has
shown Republican voters overwhelmingly oppose expanding the number of
immigrants allowed into the United States.
“How can it be possible that the demands of 92% of our
electorate are not merely ignored, but sabotaged,” they wrote.
“The last legislation put forward would have tripled
green card issuances over the next ten years — a population of new permanent
residents almost seven times larger than the population of South Carolina.
The 2-page letter was hand-delivered to all Republican
offices on Tuesday, an aide said.
