Obama Really Is A Douche...

The latest evidence...

I don't give a flying frig what your ideology is... Margaret Thatcher and the British People deserve better than this from the United States and our current Head of State.

Now I know what some of you are thinking; you're thinking that great swaths of the British People are more on board with "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead" than with "Candle In The Wind," but that's besides the point.

I could point out that this "hated" politician democratically held power for eleven years...

I could go on and on about why I admire... nay, revere her.

I'll do neither here. Instead, I'll simply point out that many Americans hated Ronald Reagan - yet at his funeral America's allies... and even many of America's enemies... honored him.

This is the woman President Obama has snubbed.

As far as I know, neither Speaker of the House Boehner nor Senate Minority Leader McConnell will be attending Lady Thatcher's funeral. Shame on both of them and shame of the GOP for not demanding better of it's highest ranking political officeholders.

Understand this, people; Queen Elizabeth was no political fan of Lady Thatcher. And yet... 

"The Queen's decision to attend Lady Thatcher's funeral has effectively elevated it to a state occasion unprecedented for a political figure in Britain since the death of Sir Winston Churchill in 1965."

What President Obama has done... in our name... is more than simply "bad manners" or "crass behavior," it is an insult which many in Britain will never forgive. 

President Obama should have gone to the funeral himself. Or... he could have sent the First Lady as well as the Bidens. He did neither. Nor did he send Secretary of State John Kerry.

Again... whether one is a Thatcher fan or detractor... whether one is an Obama fan or detractor... this is low behavior and beyond that... irresponsible behavior as far as it pertains to American foreign policy and alliances aside and apart from parties in power.

Obama... Really... Is... A... Douche.
