Obama's Navy...

* OBAMA'S NAVY! (FRANKLY... I MISS MCHALE'S NAVY...)

A U.S. Navy admiral has been fired...

* SERVICE PERSONNEL AREN'T "FIRED." THEY'RE RELIEVED OF COMMAND.

...after he was found wandering around naked early April 8 at a National Defense Transportation Association advisory board meeting at a Ponte Vedra Beach hotel, according to an Office of the Naval Inspector General report.

The Navy confirmed that Rear Adm. David Baucom, 56, was removed from his job as the director of Strategy, Policy, Capabilities and Logistics at U.S. Transportation Command in November after an investigation into his behavior at the conference at the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club.

“Baucom demonstrated poor judgment in his excessive use of alcohol, and his resulting personal conduct was not up to the standard expected of all U.S. Navy sailors,” according to a Navy news release.

* SOUNDS LIKE ONE HELL OF A "CONFERENCE" TO ME.

In a statement to the Navy Times, Baucom said that after medical testing, four doctors said he probably experienced an atrial fibrillation event “which caused lightheadedness, disorientation, dizziness and confusion.”

“I am now being treated for those symptoms and other medical conditions,” Baucom’s statement said. “ ... I have served the Navy for more than 34 years and am proud of our institution. I deeply regret my actions caused discredit to the Navy I love.”

According to the 20-page Navy investigation, Baucom was at a dinner with about 70 senior military officers and corporate executives and consumed all or part of a gin and tonic, wine and five scotches.

* GLAD TO KNOW TAXPAYER MONEY IS BEING SPENT SO EFFICIENTLY... ON SCOTCH. (OR DO THE CORPORATE EXECUTIVES PICK UP THE TAB - AND THEN DECLARE IT A "BUSINESS EXPENSE?")

The investigation stated that security camera footage showed Baucom falling as he stood up just after midnight, then hitting his head on a bar stool.

* GUY MUST DO GREAT ON A SHIP ON THE HIGH SEAS DURING A STORM!

Another video camera recorded him stumbling and falling “head first” into a couch or a side table, then falling “to the ground,” the investigation stated. At 1:30 a.m. a bellman took Baucom to his room, calling him an “intoxicated older gentleman” in a statement to the hotel security department, the investigation stated.

* NICE...

Baucom showered, then took prescription medications.

* THIS GUY SOUNDS LIKE A REAL BRAIN SURGEON!

He told investigators he woke up later and went through a door, thinking it was to the bathroom. But it led outside, and the door locked behind him.

* YEP... OBAMA'S NAVY...

* ONE OF OBAMA'S ADMIRALS...

About 5:45 a.m. he ended up at the front desk.

“I’m looking for is something to cover up with,” he states in the investigative report. “So I’m looking for just something, if I can find a spare towel anywhere or something laying around so I can get to the lobby, get a key and get back to my room.”

Baucom testified that an employee pointed him to a bin with clean towels, then he walked back to his room. While naked he was seen by some hotel guests and employees, the report states.

In a June 8 statement, Baucom said this behavior is “definitely out of character for me ... I was shocked, concerned and worried.” He said he checked himself into a drug and alcohol treatment program as soon as he returned to his office at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois.

* SCUMBAG...

* CLASSIC DAMAGE CONTROL ATTEMPT!

But the investigation concluded that his actions were “the product of his intoxication” and “constituted conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman.” Baucom’s level of intoxication and his nudity are “of such a nature that they dishonored or disgraced him personally and seriously compromised his standing as an officer,” the report said.

Baucom was reassigned to the staff of U.S. Fleet Forces on Nov. 4 and is now under orders to the Pentagon after the Navy found him guilty of conduct unbecoming an officer and disorderly conduct at a Nov. 20 admiral’s mast.

(*JUST SHAKING MY HEAD*)

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said its deputies were not called to the incident and only learned of it days later.

Baucom became director of the Strategy, Policy, Capabilities and Logistics in October 2013. That command is the single manager for global air, land and sea transportation for the Department of Defense.

* GREAT! JUST FRIGGIN' WONDERFUL! FILLS ME WITH CONFIDENCE!

* I WONDER IF OBAMA IS GONNA APPOINT THIS FRIGGIN' LOSER AS THE NEXT DIRECTOR OF THE SECRET SERVICE! SOUNDS LIKE HE'D BE A GOOD FIT INTO THEIR "CORPORATE CULTURE."
