NATO's invitation to Montenegro to join the alliance has angered Russia...

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the continuing expansion of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to the east would lead to retaliatory measures from Russia.

* CAUSE AND EFFECT, FOLKS... CAUSE AND EFFECT.

* FOLKS... OUR OLIGARCHY IS DOING EVERYTHING WITHIN THE POWER OF THEIR PUPPETS TO REIGNITE THE COLD WAR WITH RUSSIA WHILE ALLOWING OUR TRUE ENEMY - CHINA - TO GROW STRONGER DAY BY DAY.

"On all different levels Moscow has always noted that the continuing expansion of NATO, the military infrastructure of NATO, to the east, of course cannot but lead to reciprocal actions from the east, that is from the Russian side, in the interests of providing security and supporting the priority of our interests," Mr Peskov told journalists.

* THERE IS NO SANE OR HONORABLE REASON FOR US TO BE DOING THIS!

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry told a news conference: "NATO is not a threat to anyone ... it is a defensive alliance, it is simply meant to provide security."

* JOHN KERRY IS A DOUCHE BAG... AS WELL AS A LIAR. NATO HAS BECOME AN OFFENSIVE ALLIANCE. (STARTING IN THE MID-90's WITH CLINTON USING NATO TO BYPASS BOTH THE UN AND THE U.S. CONGRESS!) (BYPASSING CONGRESS - AND THUS THE CONSTITUTION - BEING THE WORST OFFENSE.)

U.S. ambassador to NATO Douglas Lute said on Monday that he "understood Russia's perspective on this," but insisted the accession of Montenegro was "not designed in any way as a message to Russia."

He also accepted that public opinion in Montenegro was not necessarily fully supportive of the country's entry into the alliance.
