* TWO-PARTER... (Part 1 of 2)

http://reason.com/blog/2015/06/16/male-teen-has-consensual-sex-with-female

Computer science student Zach Anderson, 19, met a girl, 17, on the "Hot or Not?" app. He was from Elkhart, Indiana. She was 20 minutes over the border in Niles, Michigan. They hooked up. Once.

But it turned out the girl was really 14.

* OOPS!

She'd lied to Anderson and also in her profile.

Now Zach sits in a Michigan jail, serving 90 days. When he gets out he will be on the Sex Offender Registry for 25 years.

* FORGIVE THE PUN... BUT... FUCKING RIDICULOUS!

Does anyone thinking treating him this way is necessary to keep kids safe? Anderson and his family certainly don’t.

* I DON'T EITHER!

* BTW... IS IT OK TO CALL THE GIRL A MESSED UP LITTLE SLUT...?

Neither does his supposed underage victim. The girl readily admitted that she lied about her age, and in this WSBT-TV interview her mother admitted that Anderson “didn't do anything my daughter didn’t do.”

* SEEMS TO ME THAT IF ANYONE IS A "PREDATOR" IT'S THE YOUNG SLUT.

(*SHRUG*)

Everyone agrees the encounter was completely consensual. The only reason the police became involved at all is because the girl suffers from epilepsy, and when she didn't come home as quickly as expected her mom worried and called the cops for help.

In this excellent South Bend Tribune article, the mom told a reporter that she didn’t just ask the judge for leniency, "we asked him to drop the case."

* GOOD FOR THE (THOROUGHLY INCOMPETENT) MOM!

* LET ME GUESS... NO DAD IN THE PICTURE...?

But court records show that Berrien County District Court Judge Dennis Wiley (who once jailed a woman for 10 days over Christmas because she cursed while paying a traffic ticket in the county clerk’s office) paid none of the participants any mind. At sentencing he told Anderson, "You went online, to use a fisherman's expression, trolling for women to meet and have sex with. That seems to be part of our culture now: meet, hook up, have sex, sayonara. Totally inappropriate behavior. There is no excuse for this whatsoever."

* SORRY. THE JUDGE IS TOTALLY OUT OF LINE.

* TO BE CONTINUED...

* CONCLUDING... (Part 2 of 2)

Now, in addition to registering as a sex offender, Anderson will spend five years on probation, during which time he will not be allowed to live in a home where there is internet access or a smart phone. He will obviously have to change his major. And he is forbidden to talk to anyone under age 17, except his brothers.

* AGAIN... WHAT UTTER NONSENSE... UNENFORCEABLE NONSENSE TO BOOT - AND UNLESS THE JUDGE IS A COMPLETE MORON HE MUST KNOW THIS!

I spoke to Anderson's dad, Les Anderson, yesterday. He said the family is about to try to withdraw the original plea deal Zach agreed to, because, he says, "The prosecutor violated the plea."

You see, in Michigan there is a leniency provision for first-time offenders under age 21. It keeps them off the registry. As part of the plea deal, the prosecutor had agreed not to take a position pro or con on whether to apply the provision to Zach. But when it came time for sentencing, the prosecutor reminded the judge that he had denied leniency in similar cases twice before.

That struck defense lawyer Scott Grabel as not exactly neutral. "He did us a favor," says Grabel, "because now we have a basis to withdraw the plea."

* HELL... PERHAPS (HOPEFULLY) THE PROSECUTOR SCREWED UP ON PURPOSE FOR JUST THAT REASON - TO PROVIDE AN APPEALABLE ACTION FOR IF AND WHEN THE JUDGE UNREASONABLY DROPPED THE HAMMER.

I chatted with Grabel yesterday, too. He says that if the case is tried anew, he would like to hold off for another six-to-nine months, because by then it's possible that the Michigan Supreme Court will have decided to allow defendants to use "she lied about her age" as a component of their defense.

* SOUNDS LIKE A REASONBLE DEFENSE TO ME - SINCE THE GIRL ADMITS IT AND SINCE THERE'S PROOF OF THE LINE VIA HER PROFILE RECORD!

Right now, 20 states allow this. But in the other 30, you can turn to your would-be hook-up and say, 'Look I want to see a passport or driver's license,' and I'd say that's pretty diligent of you," says Grabel. But if the I.D. is fake and she is actually underage, you can still be convicted of statutory rape.

(*JUST SHAKING MY HEAD*)

* GEEZUS...

Let's hope Michigan makes that change.

* YES. LET'S.

In the meantime, Judge Wiley should realize that just because you met someone online does not mean you are a depraved fiend who deserves 25 years on the Sex Offender Registry.

The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) would turn over to globalists the power to issue regulations about U.S. trade, immigration, the environment, labor and commerce. It’s called a “living agreement,” which means the globalists can amend and change the text of the so-called agreement after it has gone into effect.

The globalists claim that this “living” document (TPP), now called ObamaTrade, has all the powers of a treaty to commit the U.S. to new foreign obligations, although it certainly did not comply with any U.S. constitutional provisions for treaty ratification.

Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., has frankly warned about this giveaway of U.S. sovereignty. Not only would Congress give up its powers to negotiate and write the terms of a treaty, but Congress also gives up its power to debate and amend the deal, to apply a cloture vote in the Senate, and to require a two-thirds vote in the Senate.

The secrecy wrapped around TPP is appallingly un-American.

Whatever happened to Obama’s promise of “transparency?"

TPP was negotiated and agreed to by Obama’s trade representative and a bunch of foreigners in a secret room, and the American people are not allowed to know the details until after it’s a done deal.

TPP puts us in a new political and economic union before a single private citizen is told about it and with public opinion running five to one against it.

(Remember when Nancy Pelosi said we had to pass ObamaCare in order to find out what is in it?)

Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., warns, “TPP calls for the formation of a permanent political and economic union known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership Commission, which will have power to issue regulations impacting not only trade but immigration, the environment, labor and commerce.”

He added, Congress “will have surrendered its legislative prerogatives. Before a word, line, paragraph, or page of this plan is made public, Congress will have even agreed to give up its treaty powers.”

Sen. Sessions made it even more emphatic, saying that fast track “authorizes the president to form a new transnational governance structure. … It confers the power to both compel and restrict changes to U.S. policy, to commit the U.S. to international obligations, and to cede sovereign authority to a foreign body.” This new global body could even add new member countries (such as China).

Sessions continued: “Congress would be pre-clearing a political and economic union before a word of that arrangement has been made available to a single private citizen. This has the earmarks of a nascent European Union,” and Americans certainly don’t want to belong to a European union (that’s why we fought the American Revolution).

Rep. Hunter also warns that the new global governance institution would be “authorized to issue policies and regulations affecting our economy, our manufacturers, our workers, our immigration procedures, as well as current, labor and environmental practices.”

TPP is separating us from the U.S. Constitution and from national sovereignty and replacing both with a global governance superstructure. TPP has wrapped its audacious global governance plan in the mantle called “free trade,” which is a misnomer if there ever were one.

“Free trade” [via ObamaTrade] means Americans must obey a bunch of rules written by foreigners - which we can’t veto...

While the American people are denied the right to read TPP, thanks to leaks from WikiLeaks we have learned that ObamaTrade includes 10 pages to unilaterally alter our current U.S. immigration law. Sen.

Sessions says TPP will give Obama a backdoor to increase immigration, and the same lobbyists who are pushing for ObamaTrade are demanding open borders.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/06/17/jeff-sessions-on-obamatrades-new-pacific-union-like-the-eu-something-america-has-never-seen-before/

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has issued yet another clarion call to House Republicans urging them to abandon GOP leadership’s desperate ploys to bring ObamaTrade back to life and instead vote against Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) and stop President Obama from getting even more power in his final years in office.

“The House is preparing to vote again tomorrow on providing fast-track executive authority to the President. If adopted, it will be sent immediately to the Senate for final consideration,” Sessions said, before correcting misconceptions peddled far and wide by House Ways and Means Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI).

“It is essential that there be no misunderstanding: fast-track pre-approves the formation of not only the unprecedentedly large Trans-Pacific Partnership, but an unlimited number of such agreements over the next six years,” Sessions disclosed.

“Those pacts include three of the most ambitious ever contemplated. After TPP comes the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) between the United States and the European Union, followed by the Trade in Services Agreement (TiSA), seeking as one its goals labor mobility among more than 50 nations."

* WE'LL NO LONGER CONTROL OUR OWN IMMIGRATION POLICIES! (OR RATHER... HAVE THE OPTION OF DOING SO!)

"Together, these three international compacts encompass three-fourths of the world’s GDP. Including the nations whose membership is being courted for after enactment, the countries involved would encompass nearly 90% of global GDP. Yet, through fast-track, Congress will have authorized the President to ink these deals before a page of them has been made public."

* DOESN'T... ANYONE... CARE...?!?!

"Then, the Executive sends Congress ‘implementing’ legislation to change U.S. law—legislation which cannot be amended, cannot be filibustered, and will not be subjected to the Constitutional requirement for a two-thirds treaty vote.”

* IN OTHER WORDS... OUR CONSTITUTION... OUR RULE OF LAW... TRASHED - TRASHED BY OBAMA, BOEHNER, MCCONNELL, AND THE OLIGARCHY.

Sessions then laid out how several members of Congress didn’t even know about what they were voting on when leadership forced them to vote...

* FOLKS... I WOULD WELCOME A MILITARY COUP TO RESTORE THE CONSTITUTION AT THIS POINT.

“According to the European Commission, the TiSA agreement — which most House and Senate members did not know about when they voted..."

* YOU'RE READING THIS - RIGHT?

"...will follow in the footsteps of the WTO’s Trade in Services Provisions, which has already inhibited the U.S. from making needed immigration changes,” Sessions said. “The European Commission says the EU ‘wants as many countries as possible to join the agreement.’ We have already seen how the EU has curtailed sovereignty in Europe; we do not want to follow in its footsteps.”

With regard to TPP, Sessions warned that America has “never seen” anything like it before — and that it’ll force the United States into a version of the European Union he calls “a new Pacific Union.”

(*BITING MY LIP*)

“This nation has never seen an agreement that compares to the TPP, which forms a new Pacific Union,” Sessions said. “This is far more than a trade agreement, but creates a self-governing and self-perpetuating Commission with extraordinary implications for American workers and American sovereignty. Such a historic international regulatory Commission should never be fast-tracked, and should never be put on a path to passage until every word has been publicly scrutinized, every question answered, and every last power understood by Congress and the American people.”

It’s unclear what might go down on Thursday when ObamaTrade comes back up, but it’s certainly going to be ugly.
