First and foremost...
God, I love that song! For whatever reason it's been playing in my head all morning!
Screw Obama and screw Bernanke... they're not gonna wreak my mood today!

Average retail gasoline prices have more than doubled under President Obama, according to government statistics, rising from $1.84 per gallon to $3.85 per gallon.
The average gasoline price is calculated by the Energy Information Agency, and shows that over the past 43 months of President Obama’s term retail gasoline prices have more than doubled, rising from an average of $1.84 per gallon to $3.85 per gallon.
* FOLKS... IT'S NOT JUST OBAMA'S ANTI-OIL POLICIES - IT'S MAINLY THE BERNANKE/OBAMA POLICY OF DESTROYING... DELIBERATELY DESTROYING... THE VALUE OF THE DOLLAR - WHICH IS THE MAIN CURRENCY OIL IS VALUED IN! THE LOWER THE DOLLAR... THE HIGHER THE PRICE OF OIL. THEY KNOW THIS. THEY WANT THIS.

A black Islamic flag is currently flying over the U.S. embassy in Tunisia after it had been stormed by an angry mob of protesters...
In Tunis, the mob overran the compound, scaling walls and setting fire to trees before tearing down the American flag and replacing it with a symbol of Islam. It is not thought that any U.S. staff were actually in the embassy in Tunis.
Several dozen protesters were also briefly able to enter the embassy compound and set fire to cars in the embassy parking lot.
An American school in Tunis was also set on fire.

* THREE PARTER... (Part 1 of 3)

* BY PATRICK J. BUCHANAN
Is it not long past time to do a cost-benefit analysis of our involvement in the Middle and Near East?
* LONG PAST TIME, PAT!
In this brief century alone, we have fought the two longest wars in our history there, put our full moral authority behind an “Arab Spring” that brought down allies in Tunisia, Egypt and Yemen, and provided the air power that saved Benghazi and brought down Moammar Gadhafi.
Yet this week U.S. embassies were under siege in Tunisia, Egypt and Yemen, and U.S. diplomats were massacred in Benghazi.
(*PURSED LIPS*)
The cost of our two wars is 6,500 dead, 40,000 wounded and $2 trillion piled onto a national debt that is $16 trillion, larger than the entire U.S. economy.
And what in heaven’s name do we have to show for it?
We face pandemic hatred of our country from Morocco to Pakistan. The sight of American flags being ripped to shreds and burned by mobs has become so common over there we seem almost to have gotten used to it.
What are the roots of that Arab and Islamic hatred?
* TO BE CONTINUED...
* CONTINUING... (Part 2 of 3)
Osama bin Laden in his declaration of war against us gave three reasons as his casus belli:
His first reason for war was the presence of U.S. troops on the soil of Saudi Arabia, sacred home to Mecca and Medina.
* ON THIS ONE... HE HAD A POINT. (HEY... THE TRUTH IS THE TRUTH.)
His second was the U.S. sanctions on Iraq then said to be causing the premature deaths of as many as 500,000 Iraqi children.
* PAPPY BUSH AND COLIN POWELL FUCKED THAT ONE UP BY LEAVING SADDAM IN POWER. (AGAIN... FACTS ARE FACTS.)
Third was U.S. support for Israel, seen in the Arab world as a colonial implant to humiliate them and deny to the Palestinian people their right to a nation of their own.
* IT'S ONE THING TO SUPPORT ISRAEL'S RIGHT TO EXIST... BUT WE'RE FAR, FAR, FAR TOO INVOLVED WITH FINANCING ISRAEL. LET ISRAEL DEAL WITH HER ENEMIES AS SHE SEES FIT.
Lately, new causes of Arab and Muslim hatred of us have arisen.
The first is what devout Muslims regard as our immoral and decadent culture, which they see as a threat to their societies and their young.
* WELL... THEY'VE GOT A POINT THERE... BUT LET 'EM TUNE IT OUT... LET 'EM DEAL WITH THEIR OWN COUNTRIES AND COUNTRYMEN AS THEY SEE FIT. STOP FUCKING MEDDLING!
The second are the Islam haters and baiters in America and the West who deliberately provoke them with insulting and blasphemous portrayals of the Prophet and their faith.
* YOU KNOW WHAT...? TELL 'EM TO SUCK IT UP. DEAL WITH THE HATERS AND BAITERS SPECIFICALLY. LIKE ALL RELIGIONS THERE IS PLENTY FOR ME TO APPLAUD IN ISLAM AND PLENTY FOR ME TO DECRY. THAT SAID, IF ISLAM DOESN'T BOTHER ME... I WON'T BOTHER ISLAM. IF ISLAM RESPECTS ME... THEN I'LL RESPECT ISLAM.
While the U.S. bases in Saudi Arabia have by now largely been closed, and the United States is largely withdrawn from Iraq and the sanctions there have all been lifted, America is not going to change herself to accommodate their world.
* NOR SHOULD WE! THAT IS... NOR SHOULD WE TO ACCOMMODATE THE WORLD. THAT SAID, WE NEED TO RETURN TO TRADITIONAL AMERICAN VALUES. WE HAVE BECOME IN MANY RESPECTS A SICK SOCIETY. (AGAIN, FOLKS... THE TRUTH MAY HURT... BUT IT'S THE TRUTH.)
Support of Israel is the declared position of both parties. And, though Secretary of State Hillary Clinton rightly called the crude amateur film “Innocence of Muslims,” which caused the latest anti-American rioting, both disgusting and reprehensible, we are not going to repeal the First Amendment, which protects provocateurs and pornographers.
Yet, worldwide, there are hundreds of millions of Muslims for whom their faith is their most priceless possession. They live it. They will die for it. And not a few will kill for it. Others will seize upon real or imagined insults to that faith to excite the crowds to expel us from their world. And some Americans will accommodate them by using books, films and videos to manifest their contempt of Islam.
So we have here an irreconcilable conflict.
* TO BE CONTINUED...
* CONCLUDING... (Part 3 of 3)
The Islamic world, especially across the Arab region, is undergoing a transformation, a Great Awakening. Muslims from Nigeria to Mali to Ethiopia to Sudan to the Maghreb and Middle and Near East are growing more militant and more hostile toward Christianity and other faiths. And as we are not going to change our position on Israel, or our culture, such as it is, or our First Amendment, clashes between us are inevitable.
Perhaps the best course of action for America is to lower our profile in that region, bring most of our diplomats and troops home, and let these people work out their destiny themselves.
* SOUNDS PRETTY FRIGGIN' REASONABLE TO ME!
Second, given the costs and consequences of our wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and intervention in Libya, let the Syrians settle their war themselves.
* YES!
There is no guarantee the fall of Bashar Assad, given the jihadist and al-Qaida presence in the forces seeking his overthrow, will be an improvement for the United States.
(*NOD*)
Third, the United States should tell the Egyptian government that its failure to provide security for our embassy was an outrage, that if we cannot see them as a friendly government with common interests, we will not hesitate to cut off aid and warn U.S. citizens not to travel to Egypt.
* TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE. WE SHOULD HAVE DEFENDED EVERY SQUARE INCH OF THAT EMBASSY... EVERY SQUARE INCH. WE SHOULD HAVE SHOT EACH AND EVERY BASTARD WHO INVADED SOVEREIGN U.S. TERRITORY AND IF THE EGYPTIAN GOVERNMENT DIDN'T LIKE IT... WELL... THEN I SUPPOSE HOSTILITIES WOULD HAVE ESCALATED. IN ANY CASE, WE WOULD HAVE (AND SHOULD HAVE) SENT A POWERFUL MESSAGE TO THE WORLD THAT NO ONE... NO ONE... INVADES U.S. SOVEREIGN SOIL OUT OF HOSTILE INTENT AND LIVES TO TELL ABOUT IT.
Without U.S. aid and Western loans and tourists, Egypt’s economy would sink with President Morsi in the wheelhouse.
* YEAH, YEAH... I CAN HEAR THE PROTESTS NOW... "WHAT ABOUT ISRAEL... EGYPT WOULD LASH OUT..." WELL, FOLKS... LET 'EM! I TRUST THE ISRAELIS COULD TAKE CARE OF ANY MILITARY THREAT THAT EGYPT OR ANY COMBINATION OF HOSTILE MIDDLE EASTERN/NORTH AFRICAN POWERS COULD PRESENT IT WITH.
* THESE CRAZY ISLAMIC FUCKERS WANNA TRY AND KILL JEWS MAN TO MAN... LET 'EM TRY. MY MONEY IS ON THE JEWS.
We must make it clear to them that, denied the respect our nation deserves, we are willing to pull the plug on his regime.
* AGAIN... WHILE I AGREE WITH PAT THAT NO REPEAT OF THIS OUTRAGE CAN BE TOLERATED... I WANT TO PUNISH THE EGYPTIANS FOR WHAT HAS ALREADY TRANSPIRED!
The Middle East appears to be undergoing a sectarian and tribal conflict not unlike our Thirty Years’ War from 1618 to 1648. As they stayed out of our Thirty Years’ War, let us get out of theirs.
If they will not protect our embassies from mobs who come to burn our flag, let us lower the flag ourselves and bring Old Glory home.
* TWO-PARTER... (Part 1 of 2)
http://news.investors.com/ibd-editorials/091312-625678-press-takes-bias-to-new-extreme.htm?p=full
In an interview this week, the president of CBS News insisted his network isn't biased.
We agree.
When it comes to the current election campaign, calling the mainstream press biased doesn't go nearly far enough.
(*NOD*)
These days, the media aren't just tilting stories, they're acting like paid employees of the Obama campaign's PR shop.
Think about it. Over the past several months, there hasn't been one major political story line pushed by the mainstream press that hasn't been perfectly in sync with the Obama campaign's strategic messaging plan.
(*NOD*)
Case in point is the ferocious press response to Mitt Romney's criticism Tuesday night of the Cairo embassy's "disgraceful" apology. At midnight on Tuesday, the Obama campaign said it was "shocked" that "Romney would choose to launch a political attack."
Was Romney out of line?
Hardly.
The embassy's apology was disgraceful.
Even the White House admitted as much — but only after Romney issued his stinging rebuke.
As for politicizing an international crisis, Obama did so repeatedly in his 2008 campaign, including using the death of nine troops in Afghanistan to score political points.
Still, the mainstream press has flooded the zone with stories about how Romney was irresponsibly and ineptly politicizing a foreign policy crisis, and about the "withering criticism" — as the New York Times put it — that his statement generated. (Never mind that much of that criticism was coming from the press itself.)
Does anyone really believe it's a coincidence that this media frenzy just happened to advance a key line of attack by the Obama campaign against Romney? (Only days before, President Obama mocked Romney as being "new to foreign policy" and, as the Hill reported on Monday, the campaign had since been stepping up its attacks.)
* AND... AND... AND...
And the press was caught red-handed on a hot mic coordinating on a "tough" question for Romney that could have easily been drafted by the Obama PR team.
(*SMIRK*)
* TO BE CONTINUED...
* CONCLUDING... (Part 2 of 2)
A truly independent press would have focused on whether Obama's Mideast policy is failing, or his decision to jet off to a Vegas fundraiser, or his inability to tell whether Egypt is an ally.
* COM'ON, FOLKS... YOU KNOW IT'S TRUE!
This is hardly the first time the media have acted as though they were part of the Obama re-election team.
While Paul Ryan was giving his acceptance speech at the Republican convention, the Obama campaign was blasting out emails charging Ryan with wildly distorting the facts.
* WHICH OF COURSE HE WASN'T... (*SMILE*) (*SHRUG*) ...THOUGH HE DID LIE ABOUT HIS OWN MARATHON TIME. (SCHMUCK!)
Top Obama strategist David Axelrod called Ryan's speech "the audacity of mendacity."
And wouldn't you know it... all the press wanted to talk about were Ryan's so-called lies — none of which turned out to be [lies] — even to the point of bending their own facts to advance that story.
* YEP! BROWSE THROUGH THE NEWSBITES FROM THE CONVENTION PERIOD!
Then there were the unyielding press attacks on Romney for charging — correctly — that Obama was trying to weaken the work requirements in welfare reform. The Obama campaign clearly saw this as a potential soft spot, and the press dutifully lent a protective hand.
* YEP. THIS WAS DISGUSTING... ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. AGAIN, I COVERED ALL THIS RIGHT HERE AT USUALLY RIGHT.
And when Obama needed to fend off Romney's Medicare charges, his media friends supplied headlines about how "misleading" Romney's claims were.
* OF COURSE THEY WEREN'T... (*SMIRK*)
Not once did any reporter note that Obama himself admitted in a 2009 interview that he was doing just what Romney said — cutting Medicare to finance ObamaCare.
* FOLKS... YA CAN'T MAKE THIS SHIT UP!
The same thing happened when the Obama campaign needed to undercut Romney's business experience. The press filled in the gap with stories attacking Romney's time at Bain Capital.
(This is to say nothing of the media's concerted efforts to hide, deny or make excuses for any story that could prove unflattering to Obama.)
More than any time in the past, reporters and editors working at mainstream outlets have shirked their duty to be independent while still pretending to provide the public with legitimate, unbiased and fair news coverage.
This isn't just some idle concern. When the media voluntarily take on the role of propagandists, a genuine threat to our democratic system of government is posed.
