So... question: Would America emerge stronger or weaker were terrorists to successfully attack Washington D.C. prior to our elected Representatives and Senators taking their leave to start their FIVE WEEK LONG summer vacations?

Follow-up: How'bout after the Powers That Be flee Washington... would successful terrorist attacks on... oh... say The Hamptons, Cape Cod, Newport Beach Rhode Island... actually end up serving the best long-term interests of the American People... Our Republic... Our Constitution?

Oh... don't mind me. God FORBID innocents be hurt or killed! And, heck... even property damage... rest assured I'm opposed to it!

It's just... pondering who these people are... the politicians... the lobbyists... even the staffers who hope to one day be politicians and/or lobbyists... how many of them represent the very worst of America... the very worst of human selfishness, avarice, deceit, and ethical failings?

Who amongst you has been in a car crash? Did time slow down? Did you comprehend what was happening... what was going to happen... what was inevitable?

Folks... if you can't see that we're in the middle of a slow motion crash... a wreak that's coming, that we're doing nothing to avoid... then I don't know what to tell you.

Oh... and to my more religious friends: No. Jesus is NOT going to "take the wheel." God helps those who help themselves and right now it seems to me that GOD has every right to turn His face from us.

Lord forgive us... WE'VE BROKEN AMERICA...
