I Have No Problem With Vladamir Putin!

Anyone been disappointed in the "uneven" postings lately... or in the number of "vacation days" from blogging I've taken lately?

Well... if anyone is... you're always welcome to get me going with a post... question... commentary... of your own!

Nope. Not saying you have to. As I've always said, this blog is for me first and foremost and for the education and entertainment of my readers second.

Anyway...

RUSSIA... UKRAINE... PUTIN... OBAMA...

I've addressed the incompetence of Obama and his minions as it relates to foreign policy before. (Hell... same with Bush... check out the Bush era posts!)

I've also addressed my general views on Russia and Putin before... but perhaps they bear repeating:

I have no problem with Vladamir Putin!

I'd rather have the American equivalent of a Vladamir Putin as President of the United States than Obama!

Putin is a Russian patriot! He's a nationalist! He's an old-style "martial Christian" - Russian Orthodox of course. (The man believes in and respects God. He's "anchored." There's a moral/ethical center within him, though no doubt he'll "do what he has to do" when he feels he has to do it.)

PUTIN TOOK ON AND BEAT HIS NATION'S OLIGARCHS! (Did Bush? Has Obama?)

Putin believes in the greatness of the Russian People and will do all within his power to return Russia to  greatness! (Compare this to what we know about the Obamas... President Obama's efforts to "fundamentally change" America... the First Lady's lack of pride in America - until her husband's swearing in!)

You know what else? CHINA is our enemy! Our goal should be to enlist RUSSIA as our ally! Instead... under Clinton, Bush, and Obama... we've deliberately alienated Russia and in so doing pushed them ever closer to China!

Do I want to bring back the unitary dictatorship of the Soviet Union? No! But do I approve of baiting the Bear... of irresponsible (and frankly insane) proposals to bring Georgia and Ukraine into NATO? No!

Yes... taking the former Eastern European satellite states under our wing was one thing... the right thing... but actually encroaching upon - threatening - the existence of  Russia's historical sphere of influence? Outrageous and counterproductive!

Folks... understand... Europe is more of a burden than a trustworthy ally.

Folks... understand... sooner or later there will be a shooting war between ourselves and China.

The way things are heading... what I foresee is the U.S. being further and further abandoned, isolated, and ultimately challenged. Unless and until Japan remilitarizes there's only so much help they'll be able to lend us in a future conflict with China. (That is, if we don't "succeed" in alienating them as well!) As to the rest of our Pacific allies... yes... we have friends... but, again, how much of that friendship translates to burden rather than force-multiplier?

If (when) the shit hits the fan... we want Russia as an ally. More so than Europe! (Because as an enemy... Russia can cut much of Europe's energy imports and thus render them a gravely wounded "ally" even were they willing to "stay the course.")

Anyway... what's gonna unfold is gonna unfold. The Chinese communists were smart enough to realize that they could simply BUY the American oligarchy. (Buy 'em... and eventually dispense with them once they've so weakened their own country and so empowered China so as to give China the means to do so while suffering minimal damage in the doing...)

Anyway... ramble off!
