Global Market Rout Spreads

* THAT'S THE HEADLINE.

A 7.3% plunge in the Japanese stock market Thursday spilled into the rest of the world...

* FOLKS... THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ALL THE PLAYERS ARE TRYING TO MONETIZE THEIR DEBTS!

After the tumult in Japan, investors jumped quickly out of riskier assets. Spanish and Italian government bonds weakened...

* FOLKS... REMEMBER THAT NEWSBITE I POSTED ABOUT HOW THE FED's PRINTED OUT OF THIN AIR MONEY IS GOING OVERSEAS... YEP... GOING OVERSEAS TO SPECULATE IN WHAT AMOUNTS TO THE INTERNATIONAL JUNK BOND MARKET! COURTESY OF THE AMERICAN TAXPAYER!

Thanks in large part to a flood of easy money from global central banks, investors had gleefully bought stocks — particularly Japanese stocks — and smiled on European bonds they once shunned.

* AGAIN, FOLKS... "GLOBAL CENTRAL BANKS...?" WHO DO THESE MUTHA-FUCKERS THINK THEY'RE KIDDING...?!?!

Want to know what Gov. Andrew Cuomo thinks about former Congressman Anthony Weiner's bid for New York City mayor? We have a bit of insight for you.

Today, in an editorial board meeting with Cuomo and The Post-Standard and Syracuse Media Group, the governor was asked whether he thought the New York State Legislature should limit how long legislative leaders, like the Assembly speaker, should serve.

Cuomo repeated a version of his opinion on term limits: he believe elections are the way to limit political service.

* I STRONGLY DISAGREE. THE SYSTEM IS RIGGED. WITH POWERFUL GOVERNMENT COMES POWERFUL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND SINCE "ELECTED" OFFICIALS ARE STILL "OFFICIALS" THIS GIVES THEM BOOST WHICH SKEWS ELECTION RESULTS. THERE SHOULD DEFINITELY BE TERM LIMITS!

The conversation continued between Cuomo and Stephen A. Rogers, chairman of Syracuse Media Group:

Cuomo: "It's basically democracy. Those are grownups (in the Assembly) who are picking, who pick their leader."

* JUSTIFYING CORRUPTION BY CALLING IT DEMOCRACY. NICE...

Rogers: "So if Anthony Weiner wants to run for mayor, he can run for mayor."
Cuomo: "He runs? He runs."
Rogers: "And if we elect him?"
Cuomo: "Shame on us."

* GOOD FOR YOU, ANDREW! SERIOUSLY... GOOD FOR YOU! (BUT IF HE BECOMES THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE WILL YOU AS RANKING DEMOCRAT IN THE STATE OPPOSE HIM... AS REPUBLICANS ONCE OPPOSED DAVID DUKE?)

* NO, FOLKS... NOT COMPARING WEINER TO DAVID DUKE... NOR EVEN CHARLIE RANGEL... NOR JON CORZINE... BUT RATHER I'M MAKING THE POINT THAT IF ONE DOESN'T ACTIVELY OPPOSE SCUMBAGS... THAT'S WRONG.
