John Boehner (and Mitch McConnell) Strike Again

STRIKE THREE...!!!

Well, folks... if the newsflash at WSJ.com is correct, John Boehner and Mitch McConnell have betrayed true fiscal reformers - and thus the nation - yet again.

The Journal reports that John Boehner has named Jeb Hensarling, Dave Camp and Fred Upton as his picks for the 12 Member "Super Committee" which is supposed to do the heavy lifting for their peers in the House and Senate.

All three of these men are Boehner loyalists.

All three of these men voted for the Boehner-Obama-McConnell-Reid-Pelosi Budget (Out of) Control Act of 2011.

Not one of these men represents the "Tea Party."

AS FOR MCCONNELL...

It's being reported that Mitch McConnell is appointing Jon Kyl, Rob Portman and... interestingly enough... an actual "Tea Party" proponent of fiscal sanity... Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania.

Give McConnell props for at least having the brains to realize (unlike that clown Boehner) that appointing no one who had voted against
the Boehner-Obama-McConnell-Reid-Pelosi Budget (Out of) Control Act of 2011 would create a schism impossible to heal.

Folks... it goes from bad to worse with these Republicrat clowns. Unless somehow the internal opposition to RINOism can be transferred into a nationwide broad based successful effort to dump Boehner and McConnell from their leadership posts and transform the GOP into what it can and should be - a true defender of economic sanity - I fear all is lost even if the GOP is able to hold the House, capture the Senate, and take the White House via next November's election.
