A budget resolution based on President Obama’s 2013 budget failed to get any votes in the U.S. Senate on Wednesday.

* NOT ONE. ZIP. ZILCH. NADA.

In a 99-0 vote, all of the senators present rejected the president’s blueprint.

* NOT... ONE... SINGLE... DEMOCRAT... VOTE...

(*SHRUG*)

It’s the second year in a row the Senate has voted down Obama’s budget. Obama's 2012 budget failed 97 to 0 last May...

* ARE YOU SEEING A PATTERN HERE, FOLKS...?! NOT ONE SINGLE DEMOCRAT VOTE! NOT ONE! DEMOCRATS HAVE CONTROLLED THE SENATE SINCE 2007!

The House earlier this year unanimously rejected Obama's budget.

After years of speculation, estimates and projections, the Census Bureau has made it official: White births are no longer a majority in the United States.

Non-Hispanic whites accounted for 49.6% of all births in the 12-month period that ended last July, according to Census Bureau data made public on Thursday, while minorities — including Hispanics, blacks, Asians and those of mixed race — reached 50.4%, representing a majority for the first time in the country’s history.

* FOLKS... IT'S NOT THE "COLOR" CHANGE THAT IS THE PROBLEM; IT'S THE CHANGE IN THE CULTURE... OUR DECLINING CULTURE.

[T]he fact that a younger generation is being born in which minorities are the majority has broad implications for the country’s economy, its political life and its identity. “This is an important tipping point,” said William H. Frey, the senior demographer at the Brookings Institution, describing the shift as a “transformation from a mostly white baby boomer culture to the more globalized multiethnic country that we are becoming.”

RAYTOWN, MO (KCTV) - A gunman who killed a 60-year-old Raytown man is still on the run, and police believe a gang initiation could be to blame.

* JEEZUS... IN A SMALL TOWN IN MISSOURI...

Police in the Kansas City suburb say they are exploring new details. In addition, they are examining whether Harry Stone was killed as part of a gang initiation or a dare.

* WHATCHYA THINK...? BUNCH OF WHITE KIDS? MIDDLE CLASS SUBURBANITES? F-H CLUB MEMBERS - BOY SCOUTS, PERHAPS?

Detectives say Stone was just out for a morning jog, on his normal route, when a dark-colored, four-door sedan pulled by, slowed down, fired several shots at him, then pulled off, without ever stopping.

* HMM... A DESCRIPTION OF THE CAR BUT NOT THE SUSPECTS...

That car was caught on surveillance video at the gas station, and detectives are planning to release that video for help to track down the shooter.

Police say they weren't able to get much information from Stone before he was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

* MASSACHUSETTS GOVERNMENT IN ACTION!

Looking to hit the spot with a savory ice cream at Great Brook Farm State Park (MA) this week? You may be out of luck.

The park's popular ice-cream stand was unexpectedly shut down by state officials over the weekend, after the stand's operator made building improvements at the site without getting permission first.

Mark Duffy, who has operated the dairy farm at the state-owned park for 26 years and has a lease with the state to run the stand, said armed Environmental Police officers showed up at stand on Friday evening and stood guard throughout the weekend, turning away customers craving delectable sundaes and frappes.

To make matters worse, said Duffy, the shutdown happened right before the sunny Mother's Day weekend.

Edward Lambert, commissioner of the Department of Conservation and Recreation, said the stand was closed after it was discovered construction had been done without local or state permits. The work, which expanded the stand, included construction on a barn built in 1910 that is adjacent to the stand, he said.

Duffy said he has made countless improvements to the farm over the years without permission.

The reason I'm here and the purpose of having me here is to improve the facility and operate a commercial dairy farm," said Duffy, 57, who lives on the farm with his wife. "I make improvements every single day and have for 26 years."

Duffy offers guided barn tours at the farm from May to October. The building improvements in question were made to create an area to show an instructional video produced by the Massachusetts dairy industry, said Duffy.

There are 13 high-school and college students who work at the stand who are now without jobs, said Duffy.

Commissioner Lambert said he is trying to protect the public's health and safety while "tests" are conducted at the site.

Calls to George Mansfield, the administrator of the Carlisle Planning Board, were not returned regarding local permits.

Last night, the Senate voted on five different budgets, including Senator Mike Lee’s (R-UT) Budget (S.Con.Res.44), a plan based off of The Heritage Foundation’s “Saving the American Dream.”

The Heritage Foundation analyzed the budget dynamics:

“Compare the President’s proposal — and Reid’s total lack of a proposal — with the four plans offered by conservatives in Congress, chief among them being Senator Mike Lee’s (R-UT) budget, which mirrors the bold and thorough reforms The Heritage Foundation first proposed in its Saving the American Dream plan. That includes limiting the size of the federal government, reforming entitlement programs, and simplifying the federal tax code in an effort to restore our nation’s economic prosperity and ensure that future generations are not saddled with today’s debt.”

Although we cannot reverse decades of mismanagement overnight, yesterday’s vote creates a solid foundation. It is now clear that there are good ideas out there on how to fix our country; unfortunately, none of them come from our President Obama and his partisan allies in the Senate.

The vote results are below, along with a list of the Republicans who voted incorrectly.

A witness told Florida cops that he saw Trayvon Martin straddling George Zimmerman and pummeling the neighborhood watch captain “MMA style” shortly before the unarmed teen was felled by a gunshot to the chest.

The witness’s account was included in Sanford Police Department reports released today.

Interviewed by cops about 90 minutes after the shooting, the witness--whose name was redacted from police documents--said that he was inside his home when he heard a “commotion coming from the walk way” behind his residence.

The man recalled seeing “a black male, wearing a dark colored ‘hoodie’ on top of a white or Hispanic male who was yelling for help.” The black male, he added, “was mounted on the white or Hispanic male and throwing punches ‘MMA (mixed martial arts) style.'”

The witness - who was in his living room and about 30 feet away from the confrontation - said he called out to the two men that he was dialing 911. “He then heard a ‘pop,’” police reported, and saw the black male “laid out on the grass.”

The police reports also include observations from two Sanford cops regarding Zimmerman’s physical appearance following the shooting. Officer Timothy Smith reported that Zimmerman was “bleeding from the nose and back of his head,” while Officer Jonathan Mead noted that he “appeared to have a broken and bloody nose and swelling of his face.”

Investigators also reported receiving medical reports from Altamonte Medical Practice “identifying the injuries sustained by Zimmerman on the evening of 2/26/2012.” The records indicated that he suffered an “open wound of scalp” and “Nasal bones, closed fracture.”
