* THIS IS OBAMA'S AMERIKA, FOLKS...

The father of the “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot!” slogan has just been employed by the United States government.

* ACTUALLY... WHILE TECHNICALLY TRUE... NOT NEARLY AS BAD AS IT SOUNDS. (KEEP READING, THOUGH!)

Dorian Johnson, the "star witness" to the Michael Brown shooting and the man who was assisting Brown during the strong-arm robbery moments before Brown was killed, has been hired by the city of St. Louis.

According to STLtoday.com, “Jeff Rainford, Mayor Francis Slay's chief of staff, has confirmed that Johnson was hired under a state grant through the city's Agency on Training and Employment, or SLATE.”

Meeting the low income eligibility requirements, the 22-year-old will be holding the temporary position and will be making about $8.50 an hour.

* IN ALL SINCERITY, I'D LOVE TO BE ABLE TO BELIEVE THAT THIS "YOUNG MAN" IS GOING TO USE THIS OPPORTUNITY AS A STEPPING STONE TO CHANGE HIS LIFE FOR THE BETTER... BUT... I DOUBT IT'S GONNA WORK OUT THAT WAY.

Johnson told media that Brown had been shot from behind and then shot while surrendering to police with his hands up, both statements discredited by a majority of the evidence.

* HE LIED. (DID HE LIE UNDER OATH AS WELL? I DON'T KNOW.) (IF HE DID IN FACT PERJURE HIMSELF, WOULD "THE AUTHORITIES" GO AFTER HIM? AGAIN, I DON'T KNOW.)

Johnson will not be charged in the strong-arm robbery of the store, authorities said.

* THUS... MY DISTRUST OF "THE AUTHORITIES."

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/terence-p-jeffrey/404155000000-taxes-set-record-first-2-months-fy15-deficit-still-179b

The U.S. Treasury continued to rake in tax dollars at a record rate in November as the federal government closed out the first two months of fiscal 2015 with $404,155,000,000 in total receipts, according to the Monthly Treasury Statement released today.

* AND YET IT'S NOT ENOUGH... IT'S N*E*V*E*R ENOUGH...

In constant 2014 dollars, this is the first time federal revenues have topped $400 billion in the first two months of the fiscal year.

Even with these record revenues, the Treasury ran a deficit of $178.531 billion deficit in October and November as it spent $582.686 billion.

* NO. CONGRESS (AND OBAMA VIA ILLEGAL "EXECUTIVE ORDERS") SPENT NEARLY $583 BILLION.

This continued to follow the trend seen in fiscal 2014, when the Treasury brought in a record $3,020,809,000,000 in revenue, but spent $3,504,145,000,000, and ended up running a deficit of $483,336,000,000.

* FOLKS... DO THE PERCENTAGE MATH...

(*SIGH*)

In the first two months of this fiscal year, the Treasury spent $1.44 for each $1.00 in tax receipts.

* VIOLENCE IS THE ONLY SOLUTION. KILLING THESE PEOPLE WHO ACT SO IRRESPONSIBLY IS THE ONLY VIABLE STRATEGY I SEE AS HAVING A CHANCE OF WORKING. (SCARE THE RULING CLASS... "TO DEATH" IF NEED BE.)

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/12/11/Minimum-Wage-Cost-Americans-1-4-Million-US-Jobs-Study-Finds

Important new research suggests that minimum wage increases in the late 2000s resulted in the loss of some 1.4 million American jobs and hurt unskilled workers most of all.

* THE IRONIC THING: THIS "IMPORTANT NEW RESEARCH" SIMPLY BACKSTOPS "IMPORTANT OLD RESEARCH" THAT SHOWED THE SAME THING.

(*RUEFUL CHUCKLE*)

A new study by researchers Jeffrey Clemens and Michael Wither from the University of California San Diego found that low-skilled workers were the most adversely affected by minimum wage increases...

* DUH!

The study shows that between July 23, 2007 and July 24, 2009, the federal minimum wage rose from $5.15 to $7.25 per hour. During this period, the employment-to-population ratio declined substantially — by 4 percentage points among adults aged 25 to 54, and by 8 percentage points among those aged 15 to 24.

* EIGHT... FRIGGIN'... PERCENT...

Up to now, economists have disagreed as to the part that the federal minimum wage increases played in unemployment, but the new methodology employed carefully delineated control groups to isolate the variable of minimum wage in order to determine its precise effects.

(For example, the researchers were able to compare the effects of the wage hikes in states directly affected by hikes and compare them to what happened in states whose minimum wage was already higher than the federal level, and thus were unaffected by the change.)

The conclusion of the 70-page study is that the minimum wage increases “reduced working-age adults’ employment-to-population ratio by 0.7 percentage point” for the period from December 2006 to December 2012. “This accounts for 14 percent of the total decline over the relevant time period,” or approximately 1.4 million workers.

(The study also found that “binding minimum wage increases significantly reduced the likelihood that low-skilled workers rose to what we characterize as lower middle class earnings.”)

Thankfully, tampering with the minimum wage isn’t the only way to assist the income of low-skilled workers. After presenting the results of minimum wage increases, the study compares the effects of the minimum wage with research on the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), an alternative policy for increasing the incomes of low-skilled workers. The EITC targets only the poor, eliminating others such as teenagers from middle-class families who happen to hold minimum-wage jobs. Unlike the minimum wage, the EITC “has been found to significantly increase the employment and incomes of low-skilled workers, reduce inequality, and reduce tax-inclusive measures of poverty,” the researchers maintain.

* I'VE NEVER BEEN A FAN OF THE EITC... HOWEVER... I'M WILLING TO BE SOLD.

Last week, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) staged protests across the country demanding higher minimum wages, and President Obama backed a 40% increase in the federal minimum wage earlier this year, setting a target of $10/hour.

* WHAT MORONS...

(*JUST SHAKING MY HEAD*)

The new research should give well-intentioned legislators pause before entertaining bills that would ultimately hurt low-skilled workers.

* IT SHOULD - BUT IT WON'T. THEIR INTEREST IS IN WINNING VOTES - NOT HELPING PEOPLE.

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/12/11/Floor-Drama-Boehner-Embarrassment-As-House-Nearly-Kills-Omnibus-On-Procedural-Vote

The final vote on Speaker John Boehner’s 1,603-page, more than $1 trillion omnibus spending bill is in jeopardy after members almost killed the bill on the rule.

* ACTUALLY... THEY DID KILL IT... BUT ONLY IN A "RULE OF LAW" SENSE. (YOU'LL SEE WHAT I'M REFERRING TO IN A MOMENT...)

A total of 214 members voted for it, less than the majority of members in the House, but since all members weren't voting, the 212 against the rule wasn’t enough to kill it.

* VOTING "AGAINST" IS... GOOD... I BELIEVE...

Time for voting had run out minutes before...

* THIS IS WHAT I MEANT UP ABOVE! WE WON... BUT BOEHNER'S CREW - WHO ARE IN CHARGE - MOVED THE GOALPOSTS.

...and briefly the nays — those against the rule — had the majority.

* NOT "BRIEFLY." THEY WON. IT'S JUST THAT THE WIN WASN'T RECOGNIZED - WASN'T FORMALIZED; AND THEREFORE IT COULD BE - AND WAS - TAKEN AWAY.

At least one Republican had switched a vote from being against the rule to for it, at which time the presiding officer used procedural chicanery to quickly call the vote passed.

* REP. KERRY BENTIVOLIO [RINO-MI]. (SCUMBAG!)

Republican Reps. Justin Amash (R-MI), Michele Bachmann (R-MN), Dave Brat (R-VA), Mo Brooks (R-AL), Paul Broun (R-GA), Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Tim Huelskamp (R-KS), Walter Jones (R-NC), Jim Jordan (R-OH), Steve King (R-IA), Raul Labrador (R-ID), Tom Massie (R-KY), Bill Posey (R-FL), Matt Salmon (R-AZ) and Steve Stockman (R-TX) held the line and voted no.

(*STANDING OVATION*)

Rep. Kerry Bentivolio (R-MI) switched his vote from nay to yea at the last minute.

If the numbers that are being reported — 50 to 60, maybe more — of Republicans hold on against the final passage of the bill later in the day, and all the Democrats who opposed the rule oppose the bill, the bill would fail on final passage.

* THE DEMS WILL GIVE BOEHNER THE VOTES HE NEEDS. OBAMA WILL SEE TO THAT.

http://www.infowars.com/congress-passes-bill-which-grants-unlimited-access-to-communications-of-every-american/

* A DEAR COLLEAGUE LETTER FROM JUSTIN AMASH TO HIS CONGRESSIONAL PEERS:

Dear Colleague:

The intelligence reauthorization bill, which the House will vote on today, contains a troubling new provision that for the first time statutorily authorizes spying on U.S. citizens without legal process.

Last night, the Senate passed an amended version of the intelligence reauthorization bill with a new Sec. 309 — one the House never has considered. Sec. 309 authorizes “the acquisition, retention, and dissemination” of non-public communications, including those to and from U.S. persons. The section contemplates that those private communications of Americans, obtained without a court order, may be transferred to domestic law enforcement for criminal investigations.

To be clear, Sec. 309 provides the first statutory authority for the acquisition, retention, and dissemination of U.S. persons’ private communications obtained without legal process such as a court order or a subpoena. The administration currently may conduct such surveillance under a claim of executive authority, such as E.O. 12333. However, Congress never has approved of using executive authority in that way to capture and use Americans’ private telephone records, electronic communications, or cloud data.

Supporters of Sec. 309 claim that the provision actually reins in the executive branch’s power to retain Americans’ private communications. It is true that Sec. 309 includes exceedingly weak limits on the executive’s retention of Americans’ communications. With many exceptions, the provision requires the executive to dispose of Americans’ communications within five years of acquiring them — although, as HPSCI admits, the executive branch already follows procedures along these lines.

In exchange for the data retention requirements that the executive already follows, Sec. 309 provides a novel statutory basis for the executive branch’s capture and use of Americans’ private communications. The Senate inserted the provision into the intelligence reauthorization bill late last night. That is no way for Congress to address the sensitive, private information of our constituents—especially when we are asked to expand our government’s surveillance powers.

I urge you to join me in voting “no” on H.R. 4681, the intelligence reauthorization bill, when it comes before the House today.

Justin Amash
Member of Congress

* FOLKS... THIS LEGISLATION PASSED YESTERDAY 325-100 VIA VOICE VOTE.

* AGAIN... NEITHER CONGRESS AS AN INSTITUTION NOR THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH... NOR EVEN THE JUDICIAL BRANCH MUCH OF THE TIME... GIVES A DAMN ABOUT THE CONSTITUTION.

http://dailycaller.com/2014/12/11/senator-obamas-amnesty-gives-illegals-a-fast-track-to-voting-booth/

President Barack Obama’s Nov. 21 "amnesty" puts millions of illegals on a fast-track to citizenship, Utah Sen. Mike Lee announced Thursday.

* IT'S NOT AN AMNESTY. AN AMNESTY FORGIVES OR MITIGATES THE PUNISHMENT FOR PAST... P*A*S*T... VIOLATION OF LAW. IT DOESN'T DO AWAY WITH THE LAW. IT DOESN'T BESTOW UPON THE RECIPIENT PERMISSION TO BEGIN BREAKING THE LAW AGAIN. WHAT OBAMA HAS DONE IS ILLEGAL... UNCONSTITUTIONAL... AND AS FAR AS SUCH ORDERS BEING OBEYED... WE CALL THIS "CONSPIRACY."

* FOLKS. A LARGE PART OF THE PROBLEM IS THAT FEW BESIDES MYSELF APPARENTLY SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND ENGLISH. WORDS MEAN WHAT THEY MEAN.

Obama and his administration “have cleared the pathway to citizenship for millions of people who have crossed our borders illegally,” Lee said in a Thursday speech on the Senate floor.

* YES... FUNCTIONALLY...

“They know what they have done, and it is illegal,” he added.

* NO DOUBT!

Obama’s amnesty allows illegals with U.S.-born children to briefly leave the country, perhaps for a business meeting in Canada, and then be given “advanced parole” by border officials that lets them legally return to the United States.

* OBAMA'S ILLEGAL/UNCONSTITUTIONAL EXECUTIVE ORDER... (AGAIN... NOT "AMNESTY.")

Once they have legally returned under “advanced parole,” they can be immediately sponsored for a green card and citizenship by their adult child, he said.

That process bypasses U.S. law that requires illegals to leave the country for 10 years before their U.S.-born adult children can sponsor them for citizenship, Lee said.

* CONGRESS HAS TO DO AWAY WITH ANCHOR RESIDENCE AND CITIZENSHIP!

Lee spoke shortly before Republican House Speaker John Boehner tried to muscle through a 2015 budget that doesn’t bar federal spending to implement Obama’s amnesty.

* DIE, BOEHNER, DIE!

The budget’s support for Obama’s amnesty is opposed by numerous GOP legislators and a significant slice of the GOP base.

Obama’s amnesty offers work permits, drivers’ licenses, Medicare and Social Security to five million illegals who have children with citizenship or green cards.

* MEDICARE AND SOCIAL SECURITY...

(*SIGH*)

The five million could get citizenship via Obama’s new parole technique.

* THIS IS THE DEMOCRAT'S PLAN...

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/12/11/Boehner-Omnibus-Bill-Size-Grows-An-Extra-171-Pages-Overnight-Now-1774-Pages-Long

Speaker John Boehner’s more than $1 trillion omnibus spending bill is actually getting longer - it grew an extra 171 pages last night.

“With the adoption of the rule in the House, the CRomnibus grew from 1,603 pages to 1,774 pages,” a congressional GOP aide tells Breitbart News. “The rule amended the bill to add some material on pensions that total 171 pages.”

* WE... NEED... TO... _ _ _ _ ... THESE... PEOPLE...

The bill is stalled in the House right now and it’s unclear if Boehner and his lieutenants, Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California and Majority Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana, will be able to save it.

The bill has come under enormous criticism from both Republicans and Democrats, conservatives and liberals. The extra pages were added during the House Rules Committee process, where that committee's chairman Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX) agreed to insert them. Sessions is taking heat from the grassroots back home over his role in enabling Obama's executive amnesty through this bill - and actually chose not to lead the debate on the rule on the House floor - opting instead for Boehner ally Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK) to face off against Rules Committee ranking member Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY) earlier on Thursday.

* GEEZUS... WHAT ABSOLUTE AND TOTAL SCUM...

Still, he's active behind the scenes. After Rep. Kerry Bentivolio switched his vote to allow to the "Cromnibus" to survive a procedural vote, a Roll Call reporter tweeted: "Sessions spots Bentivolio in the Rayburn subway. Says 'You're a good man, Santa.'"

* I... WANT... SESSIONS... AND... BENTIVOLIO... DEAD...

Most lawmakers have publicly admitted there is no way they could read this bill before voting on it.
