Weekend Newsbites (early): Fri., Sat., & Sun.; Nov. 15, 16, & 17, 2013
Hey, Gang... still busy... BUT... anticipate some "back to normal" posting this weekend - hopefully starting tonight!
It's overwhelming. While focused on other things I've still been able to listen to a bit of talk radio and glance at the Drudge Report from time to time. I hardly recognize the country I'm hearing about and reading about.
Again, folks, Rome didn't fall in a day. Neither did the British Empire. Nor did Spain and Portugal go from mid-millennium "Superpowers" to European backwaters overnight.
Those who know their history, however, know that great changes can come into play quickly and decisively - think the Fall of the Soviet Union.
I don't know what America will look like in five years... ten years... fifteen years... twenty years... or even months from now. That said, I surely don't like the trajectory we're on.
Pray all my fears are for naught and my anxieties overblown.

Nearly 40 House Democrats defied President Obama and helped the Republican majority pass a bill Friday that lets Americans keep, for one year, health plans that do not comply with ObamaCare.
* AS USUAL, THE GOP ESTABLISHMENT IS DOING THEIR BEST TO MUDDY THE WATERS CONCERNING WHICH PARTY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT AND BY DOING SO RISK SNATCHING DEFEAT FROM THE JAWS OF VICTORY.

The defections from 39 members of Mr. Obama’s party highlighted the pressure on Congress to help people who lost coverage because of the president’s signature law, as balky websites keep a veil over alternative plans and pressure mounts on the Democrat-led Senate to forge a remedy.
The House passed the bill, 261 to 157, despite a veto threat from Mr. Obama...
* PLEASE, GOD... (*ON MY KNEES PRAYING*)... LET OBAMA BE TELLING THE TRUTH JUST THIS ONCE! LET HIM VETO THE BILL! LET THE DEMOCRATIC SENATE BACK HIM!
Four Republicans voted against the bill, perhaps because it could be viewed as an attempt to smooth over Mr. Obama’s controversial reforms.
