Yesterday's Pro-Amnesty Vote in the Senate

Folks, I don't often "newsbite" stuff I receive from various "Tea Party" organizations.

No... not because their stuff is untrustworthy - it's just the opposite in most cases!

No... it's just that I prefer not to use "suspect" sourcing when I can instead use generally conceded "authoritative" sourcing.

This all said... I'm making an exception today with this stand-alone.

So here you go... from Eric Odom via Liberty News:

Have you heard of the filthy 15? Probably not, but you’ll hear a lot about them moving forward. The filthy 15 is a group of Republicans who betrayed the trust of those who elected them and cast their vote with the amnesty crowd.

The Senate Amnesty bill’s big amendment that was passed yesterday (which essentially becomes the bill) doesn’t secure the border. In fact, it weakens the border. Under current law government is mandated to secure the border, but they refuse to do so. The new amendment removes the mandate and provides for discretion to do so. Government wouldn’t secure the border when it was a mandate, so why would they secure it now that it’s at their discretion?

Furthermore, the amendment is jam-packed with pork. Millions upon millions go to Nevada for tourism marketing, for example, and others who voted yes get huge inflows of cash for programs aimed at putting illegal immigrants to work.

The bill is a disaster as it stands today. The amendment is 1,200 pages and we’re only just now started to get a glimpse of how bad it is. There is no way possible the Senators who voted yes on the amendment were able to carefully read and consider its implications. Yet, they recklessly voted for it anyway.

Democrats who pander and use American tax dollars to buy votes were expected to vote the way they did. But Republicans who voted for this mess betrayed their principles and the people who elected them. Below is a list of the 15 who chose politics over principle and alliances with  leftist elites over the American taxpayers.

John McCain (Ariz.)
Lindsey Graham (S.C.)
Marco Rubio (Fla.)
Jeff Flake (Ariz.)
Bob Corker (Tenn.)
Lamar Alexander (Tenn.)
Kelly Ayotte (N.H.)
Jeff Chiesa (N.J.)
Susan Collins (Maine)
Orrin Hatch (Utah)
Dean Heller (Nev.)
Mark Kirk (Ill.)
John Hoeven (N.D.)
Lisa Murkowski (Alaska)
Roger Wicker (Miss.)
