So... our President gave Queen Elizabeth... an iPod.
And WHERE do you suppose this "gift of state" from President Obama (our Chief of State) to Her Majesty The Queen (their Chief of State) was manufactured...???

What's more important? Where it was assembled, or where it was conceived of and designed? I suppose that Obama could have given Her Majesty a Harley-Davidson, but those are so hard to pack.
Short answer: Where it's produced.
Proper answer: Invented here, produced here trumps anything less.
Actually... a Harley-Davidson would have been a fine gift, as would any American produced vehicle. As to space... you're kidding - right? I mean... you ARE aware that the presidential "airlift" already (and customarily) includes vehicles.

But, hey, Rob... I would have been happy with some American produced crystal... basically any gift produced by an American (Americans) in America.
But I understand where you're coming from - you've made it clear over the years; your "support" for the American worker is more... er... theoretical and rhetorical than concrete.
